ABOUT THE BANDS ~

Opening bands will include:

The Turtle Creek Ramblers originate from a small settlement just a short ways northeast of Beloit, WI, and to the northwest of Clinton, WI, known as Turtleville. As its nearest neighbors, Shopiere and Tiffany, Turtleville is in the Town of Turtle. Turtle Creek rambles through these quiet and lovely settlements on its journey from Turtle Lake in Walworth County to the Rock River in Rock County. How can you get more country and folksy than that? Only if you are listening to thier great bluegrass sound!

The Glenn Davis Blues Band - Glenn is a regular performer, at the Gun Club Restaurant, on any Thursday night in Beloit you can groove to the rhythm and catch a blues jam, enjoying some of the region’s best lounge entertainment.

The Headliner for the evening will be The Bobby Friss Band. This band is the real deal! Behind Friss’ stage antics is an excellent group of fine musicians. While Bobby entertains onstage and in the crowd, world renowned guitarist ‘Jerry Riggs’ is the heart and soul of the BFB. Riggs solo album and songs on films ‘Night Shift’ and ‘Heavy Metal’ led him to a 10 year stint with ‘Pat Travers, before joining Friss in 1993. Longtime drummer ‘Leroy Myers’ has picked up several ‘Jammy Awards’ for best drummer, and bassist ‘Dean Mickey’ has been Bobby’s musical director for over a decade. The group does over 120 shows a year and Bobby performs for huge crowds throughout Florida with many summer events in Wisconsin and Michigan. They are excited to help us try to meet the goal of generating $10,000. to charity.

Additional benefit plans include: Survivor guest speakers, concessions, vendors, craft and food booths, classic motorcycle show, Clowns with face painting and balloons, charity softball tournament & many wonderful raffle items.

We are excited to be able to raffle off a 60" LG plasma flat panel thin TV donated by COUNTRY® Financial & Radio Shack of Monroe. In addition we have a lot of great prizes to give away & goodie bags for the spectators.
